Crown 89.9FM took to the airwaves in August 2010 and radio in Nigeria’s Delta State has never been the same since, with the station making history as Delta’s first ever 24-hour service.
Today, Crown FM holds sway as Delta’s most listened-to radio station, and it’s no wonder, with several awards for Best Radio Station in its first three years and some of its presenters being successively voted the state’s Best On-Air Personalities.
Since its inception, the station has opened its doors to both the great and the good who recognize Crown FM as by far the best platform for connecting with the masses.
The station has welcomed to its studios, several world-renowned guests including the late Dr. Myles Munroe, Dr. Mensah Otabil and Rev. Matthew Ashimolowo as well as some of the biggest names from the world of entertainment, such as Don Moen, Kaycee, Eben, Harry Song and Orezi.
These people have graced our studios in rapid succession as a demonstration of their willingness to identify with the continuing success story that is Delta’s award-winning Crown 89.9FM.
And so it is, that today, after years of total disinterest, Deltans are turning their radios on again and tuning in to Crown FM, to be treated to a delightful combination of great music alongside educating and entertaining speech programmes that have seen radio reunited once more with the original purpose for its creation, which is to be a platform for meaningful communication with the listener.
This continues to be the legacy of Delta’s Crown 89.9FM.
